RECOVERY OF OLD IBC PREMISES: APC COMMENDS UZODIMMA

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State chapter has received with delight and great satisfaction the news of the recovery of old Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) premises, Orji, in Owerri North LGA, by Imo State Government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

This was contained in a press statement issued by APC through the Director General  of it's Media Center, Cajethan Duke. 

Recall that the IBC premises officially designated by Imo State Government to house officials of the corporation was fraudulently converted into personal use by former governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha in favour of his immediate family and close political associates during his reign in office.

The statement further stated that the provocative and reckless conversion of public assets into private use, which was the hallmark of Okorocha's administration, remains one anomaly every right thinking Imolite has remained hopeful that any responsible administration will address with every sense of objectivity.

The went on to state that "Our party is therefore excited and impressed with the undivided dedication and commitment with which His Excellency Governor Uzodimma has continued to carryout the recovery of all looted public assets and properties in spite of all politically sponsored distractions, to the admiration of nde Imo."

"While the party celebrates the governor for his demonstration of courage, capacity and leadership with clarity of vision, Imolites are therefore called upon to remain steadfast in their support and solidarity to the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Uzodimma in his mission to rehabilitate, reconstruct and recover Imo State for general good." The statement concluded.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.  

Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
