IMO APC CONDUCT PEACEFUL WARD CONGRESS, AS TWO FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNORS COMMEND PROCESS

The leadership of APC in Nigeria after wild consultations and deliberations set Saturday 31st July 2021 as the date for ward congresses through out the nation.

The Congress in Imo was almost stalled with litigations from expunged members of the party during the last elections, but for the timely intervention of stakeholders of the party in the state.

The embattled former Governor Senator Rochas okorocha, who is yet to revalidate his membership in the party together with his sympathizers having made frantic efforts to frustrate the proceedings of the party towards a fair, just, and inclusiveness ward congress should be licking his wounds now.

The efforts of his charade was grounded when an FCT HIGH COURT dismissed the injunction seeking to halt the congress .

Imo APC party faithful vindicated the vision and mandate of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma whom they said has embarked on an evangelism of the party in the south east already.

Party faithful in their numbers trooped out emasse to validate their membership by getting involved actively in the congress which was held peacefully in the state.

The Chairman APC ward congress committe for Imo State HON GODWIN ANAGHUE, while speaking with newsmen said that APC in imo was one big family, and that has been demonstrated in the congress held today in the 305 wards in the state .

Recall that the Governor of Imo State, has advised that democractic ethics should be followed during the congress of the party as that is the only way to strengthen the mandate of the party and forestall unfortunate Political squabble in the party.

Past Deputy Governors of Imo State His Excellency Chief EBERE UDEAGWU and His Excellency prince Eze MADUMERE with all other major stakeholders of the party were all at their wards to exercise their rights as party members. They also commended the process of the ward congress in the state, while describing it as free, fair and credible.

The congress was done and Completed without any incident of division , banditary or violence .
