HRM Igwe Dr Robert Eze receives new Correctional Service Boss.

.....seeks opportunities for Ukpo indigenes

His Royal Majesty Igwe Dr Robert C. Eze (Okofia VI)  has called on the Nigeria Correctional Service to consider youths of Ukpo whenever the Service is carrying its recruitment excercise .

Igwe Dr R.C. Eze made the call when he received in audience the new and 17th  Comptroller, Nigeria Correctional Service, Anambra State Command, CC. Patrick Chukwuemeka, fsi, at his Ukpo Palace in 
Dunukofia, Anambra state. 

The Comptroller who  came in company of CSC. Magnus Uchegbu, the Squadron Commander of Anambra State Correctional Service, Francis Ekezie,  
the Command PPRO among other officers and men of the NCS, informed Igwe Robert Eze that the purpose of his visit was to formally inform him, that he was recently posted to the State and pledged to maintain the already existing cordial and mutual relationship between the Command and Ukpo community. 

The new NCS boss, Patrick Chukwuemeka particularly thanked Prince Engr Dr Arthur Eze, OFR for his support and interventions in NCS, both at the national and state levels. 

HRM Igwe Eze however thanked the entourage for finding time to visit him, his cabinet and the leadership of Ukpo Improvement Union.

Ichie Alex Nweke and Ichie Sir Boniface Nwabuike in their  remarks  thanked, Patrick Chukwuemeka on behalf of the Igwe-In-Council, of Ukpo. 

Ichie Sir Izuchukwu Nwabueze , the  Chairman Ukpo Ceremonies Committee in his remarks urged Ukpo indigenes on the employment of the Service to represent the town and the nation well.  He also implored the new Comptroller of NCS in the state to ensure that Ukpo sons and daughters currently working in the Correctional Service get their promotions as at when due, he wished the new NCS boss well and prayed for God's abiding presence throughout out his stay in Anambra State.

The members of Igwe's Cabinet at the  Ceremony were led by Ichie Emma Ogbuka (Deputy leader of Cabinet Business). The delegation of Ukpo Improvement Union was led by the 2nd Assistant Secretary General- Chief Ike Okafor who stood in for the President general Chief Chukwuemeka Chukwuka, who was unavoidably absent. 

The Ukpo Improvement Union Youth Wing was represented by the Acting National Youth Leader, Mr. Chuka Okafor. While Hon. Prince Tochukwu Eze represented the Royal Family.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.  

Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
