Anambra Guber 2021: SDP elect Guber Candidate.


The Social Democractic Party (SDP) in Anambra state has elected Chief Edward Ekelen as the flag bearer of the party. He will represent the party in the November 6 2021 gubernatorial election. 


The candidate of the party, Chief Arinze Edward Ekelen polled 111 votes out of 116 delegates of the party to emerge candidate of the party,  being the only person that meet the conditions of the party for the primary election.


Declaring him winner, Hajia Maggie Marina Batubo, the chairperson of SDP Primary Election panel for Anambra state, said that Chief Arinze Edward Ekelen meet the conditions of the party, and having polled the highest number of votes will represent the party in the November 6th Gubernatorial election in the state. She said that out of 116 acredited voters for the primary election, 111 voted, 3 votes were voided while 2 were absent. 


In his acceptance speech, Chief Arinze Edward Ekelen, thanked SDP party faithful in the state for standing behind him, without which, he won't have been affirmed candidate of the party. He promised to ensure that SDP permeate Anambra state and eventually win the Guber to occupy Agu Awka. He therefore urged the people to preach the message of progress which the party is known for, as the party has come to stay in Anambra. 


Chief Arinze Edward Ekelen said that if elected,he will ensure that he engages the youths, and women meaningfully to ensure to that latent potentials in them is harnessed. He therefore called for everyone to join the new trend to ensure that credible leadership is entroned in the state come November 6th 2021.

Valentine Ozigbo Resigns from Labour Party

In a shocking move, against all speculations over the last few days, Valentine Ozigbo, a close ally of Peter Obi, has announced his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).
