Anambra APC Primary: Andy Uba calls for unity, commend Abiodun electoral committe

The winner of Anambra APC Primary Election held on Saturday 26th June 2021, Senator Andy Uba has called for unity in the party to enable them win the gubernatorial election in Anambra. Senator Uba made this call while granting a world press conference at his Awka campaign office, to accept the odious task of winning Anambra for APC, after he was declared winner by the Dapo Abiodun led electoral panel for the Anambra APC Primary Election.

Senator Uba thanked registered members of APC in the state for voting him enmasse, and called on others who contested the election with him to join hands to build a state. He said " I am humbled by this honor done me, I owe you a debt of gratitude. I once more thank you for nominating me to drive this process, to free Anambra from the shackles of fringe ineffectual governance. You have charged me with the responsibility to bring our state to the mainstream of national Politics. I accept wholeheartedly this responsibility and I am humbled by the nomination"

Senator Uba further promised to drive a crusade that will ensure that the cohesion that has eluded the party in Anambra state is returned through his Igwebuike motto, which is strength in unity. He promised to do away with all divisions that has stunted development and growth in the state. He agreed with the fact that Anambra is a state of full potentials but has been stunted by bad leadership in the last 8 years.

He restated that he is ready to build and drive a strong movement that will guarantee victory for APC in Anambra, and take off the shackles of poor leadership in the state. He said that this movement will ensure inclusiveness of all men, women and the youths in the bid for a more prosperous Anambra.

In accepting the victory, Senator Uba noted that the Journey to Agu Awka will not be an easy one, because they have narratives to deconstruct, age long beliefs to uphold,promises to reinforce and a leadership trust to tackle.

He noted that, there is work to do, to ensure that APC occupy Agu Awka and therefore urged his teeming supporters across the state to come out enmasse and support his drive to deliver quality leadership in the state, as this loafty initiative can't be achieved with divided camps.

Senator Uba however extended his hand of fellowship to other contestants in the Primary Election, and called on them to join forces with him to build the Anambra of their dreams, as he has been in their shoes in the past where he was not lucky to have emerged. He however decalared that the victory that bears his name today is the victory of everyone of them in the APC and a sweet one for Anambra state.
