Imo Youths have never had it this good, as history will be made tomorrow being Saturday the 26th of June 2021, where Imo youths from across the 27 LGAs of the state will be given seed capital to go into the various businesses and trade they have acquired at the ministry of Entrepreneurship and skills Acquisition, under the office of the SA Youth Affairs. The 15,000 Youths drawn from across the state will be empowered with grants of N250,000 each, which will help them in their chosen area of trade or venture.
This grant for Imo Youths from the state government, is coming at a time when the youths in the state are graudally coming together to appreciate the need for hard work and perseverance, which the state government under Senator Hope Uzodinma is noted for, being reason, they were brought together under the ministry of Entrepreneurship and skills Acquisition to acquire skills that will ensure that the funds they get, are channeled into positive ventures for economic development in the 27 LGAs of Imo state.
Imo Youths have never had it this good. Govenor Hope Uzodinma has shown the qualities of a good leader, as against what was common place before now. If one should go down memory lane, on what past administrations did with the commonwealth of the people, it becomes glaring that the Uzodinma administration is God sent and has come to wipe away tears from the people, especially the youths in the state.
The shared prosperity mantra of the state government is visible and is being matched with action and not retorics. This funds that will be given to Imo Youths tomorrow are not loans, but grants from the World Bank. It's worthy of note also, that the World Bank also approved Imo to be eligible for the grant, because of the mechanism set up by the state government for such grant, which is in tandem of the set goals and objectives of the World Bank which the state government attained.
It gladens the heart, that the youths of Imo state are getting this grant, through a transparent process and not what it used to be in the past, when the families of those in power received such, while leaving Imo youths to rot in pennury. It should also be noted that this grant is a business stimulus package geared towards empowering the youths, as it is not a loan, thereby creating the needed spring board for creativity and enterprise in Imo state. This move will go a long way in creating the needed job window in the state, while improving also the standard of living of the youths in the state.
