The frontline gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress( APC) Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, today, attended the Inauguration of the newly elected executives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Anambra state chapter led by Venerable Joseph Nweke.
The Inauguration which took place at the Bishop Patterson Hall, All Saints Cathedral Church, Onitsha, witnessed the presence of several religious leaders cut across all Christian denominations from the South East, notable among them includes: Bishop Dr. Goddy Okafor, South East Zonal Chairman of CAN, Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo, Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Bishop O.C. Dominic, among others.
Speaking during the inauguration, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, thanked the religious leaders for always interceding for Anambra and Nigeria, saying that their prayers have held this nation and averting many dangerous occurrences. He urged them not to relent as their prayers are much more needed in this trying juncture of our history.
" Prayer is the key, no matter what people think, prayers is the only weapon we have. I want to thank the leadership of CAN for standing firm and interceding for this nation at all hours without ceasing. Without your prayers, the nation would be worse off than it's at the moment. Beyond prayers, I urge you to encourage our members to be active in politics in order to put the righteous on the throne and create a just society for us all" he stated.
Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo was accompanied by the Chairman of his Campaign Council, Chief Obi Onwuachu.
