Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo felicitates With the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe at 80

The front line gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress and the Chairman/CEO of the Wichtech Group, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo has felicitated with the foremost traditional ruler and the chairman of the Anambra Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe as he celebrates his 80th birthday today, May 14th 2021.

Speaking through his media office, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo stated that Igwe Achebe has redefined what it was to be a traditional ruler at this time by successfully marrying traditions alongside the need to progress. He further stated that the traditional ruler of the ancient Onitsha kingdom is a statesman who need to be understudied by all and sundry as he has played his fatherly role exceptionally well in the state and have become a stabilizing hand in activities of our state.

Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo further wished him more wisdom, knowledge, health and good fortune so that he can continue to add his quota to the development of the state by offering advises and guidance where necessary.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation. Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA. 2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.

The big celebration started with a High Mass lead by His Lordship Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye at St Vincent De Paul parish Uruagu Nnewi, in the mass were some dignitaries, amongst who were Dr Cletus Ibeto, His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Orizu ( Igwe Nnewi), Obi Uruagu his Highness Obi Charles Afamefuna Obi, Obi Nnewichi his Highness Obi George Onyekaba, Hon Chris Azubuogu, and among others. After the mass, the reception which was at Munic Classic Hotel where all dignitaries were entertained, Amb Charles Nwonye stayed briefly and left to visit and consult with the Umuada Anaedo Forum women at Obi Okpunoegbu to present his political ambition to the women.
