Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo Attends Diocesan Synod, Aguata Anglican Diocese.



 _- *Praises the contributions of the CMS to the development of education in Nigeria*_ 


The front line gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming Anambra State Gubernatorial election and the Chairman/CEO of the Wichtech Group, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, on Friday, May 28, 2021 attended the Diocesan Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Aguata held at, St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Oko.


Speaking during the event, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo urged the church never to abdicate its role as the moral conscience of our society and that the church should continue to pray for our nation no matter how cumbersome  it has become.


Referencing Psalm 127: 1, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo stated that without God neither Nigeria or our state can succeed, urging the church to continue to pray fervently for the nation especially during this period of uncertainties. 


Speaking further, Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo went down memory lane to eulogize the Church Missionary Society (CMS) which is the progenitor of  Anglican Church in Nigeria for their contributions to education in Nigeria, especially the South East and also its contribution to the development of the Igbo language. He stated that these immeasurable contributions are evidence of the great things that can be done in our society when the church partners with the state for development. 


The Synod was presided by the Lord Bishop of Aguata Diocese, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Samuel C. Ezeofor, JP. Other notable men of God present in the synod includes: Two former Deans, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev. Maxwell Anikwenwa and The Most Rev. Christian Efobi. Former Archbishop Province of the Niger, Most. Rev. Prof. Godwin Okpala and other Bishops, Clergies and Council of Knights. 


Accompanying Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo to the synod were: Chief Obi Onwuachu, Chairman Chido Campaign Organization and Mr. Emmanuel Okeke, Director, Media and Publicity Chido Campaign Organization.

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
