Imo North Senatorial District: Supreme Court affirms Frank Ibezim as Senator

The Supreme Court, today Friday, 16th April 2021 declared Sir Frank Ibezim as Senator for Imo North Senatorial District ending months of legal fireworks of an election which was held on the 5th of December 2020.

The supreme court affirmed that Senator Frank Ibeziem's Certificate issue has been quashed and declared a nullity for lack of evidence which ended the matter at stake.

The Supreme Court also declared that the Judgment of both the High court and appeal court is a nullity due to lack of burden of proof, while the Supreme Court held that Senator Frank Ibeziem's appeal is granted as meritorious, enforceable and legitimate.
