ANAMBRA INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT: IFEANYI UBAH REITERATES NEED FOR SUSTAINABLE ROAD NETWORK

 


~ Commends Chico Group Boss For Constructing 10.761km Road In Adazi*


The Anambra South Senator and National Leader of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, on Sunday, maintained that no sustainable development will be achieved in Anambra State if the state government fails to construct standard roads across various communities in the state.


The Senator expressed his position during the commissioning of a 10.761km road network single handedly built across Adazi communities in Anaocha Local Government Area of the State by the Chief Executive Officer of Chico Group, Chief Chinedu Benson Madubuko (Chinechendo Ezeani na Adazi-Ani).


According to the Senator,  businesses will thrive if roads linking various communities of the state receive prompt and regular attention from the state government. 


Speaking further on the importance of quality roads in economic development, the Anambra South Senator said that more local and international investors will be attracted to the state if all communities are linked with standard roads that can last for decades. He also reiterated that security situation will be improved if the state is equipped with good roads as such will make it easier for security operatives to patrol and carry out surveillance operations   around various communities as well as attend to distress calls on time  The Anambra South Senator also maintained that reports of road accidents that are on daily increase in the state will reduce drastically if the  road infrastructure in the state  receive prompt and regular attention from the government.


Commending Chief Madubuko for his patriotic and philanthropic gesture, Senator Ubah called on other prominent citizens across the state to emulate this good virtue as such will not only improve the people's well-being but will also keep the hopes of various communities alive. He also urged the  donor to keep up the good works in community service 


Senator Ubah who as a private citizen, single handedly built interlocked roads equipped with underground drainage system and street lights in his  Umuanuka community of Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State also used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment towards the use of the  instruments of his office to attract quality projects to his constituency for the benefit of the people and Ndị Anambra at large.


In his brief remarks, Chief Madubuko emphasized on the importance of giving back to society  and maintained that he found it necessary to construct the roads after considering the roles it will play in opening up the Adazi community and the state at large to local and international investors. He  thanked God for his provisions and reiterated his commitment towards providing more for the people in other to promote their well-being. 


The roads that constituted the 10.761km totally constructed by Chief Madubuko include; Adazi-ani - Alor Read through Chico's house, Ikenga village hall road Adazi-ani, Ikenga village road through Chico's brothers house to Alor, Umuru village from Mkpuota-Igwe House Adazi with a spur to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Ezeumuanumanu through St. James Anglican church road, Igwe factory road Adazi ani, road opposite St. Jude Anglican church Amaebe village to Alor, Adazi power station-new age road, Obofia village read Adazi ani, Amaebe-St. James Anglican church road Adazi ani, Save the lost-through Rev Moses Chibuzor road Adazi ani, road beside Ikenga village hall to Alor/Nnokwa road, Jesus saves Avenue Ikenga Adazi ani, Chief Nelsen Enendu road to Jehovah Witness Adazi ani, and Djiaja-Justus Ejikeme-Eziama Ngo bus stop road Adazi Ani.


Dignitaries at the heavily attended event include the Grand Patron of Anambra Progressives and Development Union, Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto (CON), 2021 Anambra State Governorship Election aspirants Dr. Godwin Maduka and Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, and the Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Monday Bala Kuryas.
