Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Reiterates Commitment Towards Promoting Igbo Culture.


Anambra South Senator, and Founder of Afaigboefuna movement, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, maintained that promoting and preserving the norms and traditions of Ndi Igbo is sacrosanct and non negotiable. 


The Distinguished Senator made the assertion during the annual Ofala Festival of Ojoto community. According to the Senator, who came to the event with the Chairman of Anambra Progressives in Diaspora, Barrister Peter Nwosu and Anambra State Chairman of AfaIgboEfuna Hon. Mba Mba Iloka, stated that every tribe is defined by its norms and traditions, and it is very necessary for every Igbo citizen to always defend and promote the Igbo culture. 


The founder of AfaIgboEfuna, a socio-cultural organization that champions the interests  and values of the Igbo Nation, further reassured Ndị Igbo that he will not only continue to promote their norms and traditions but will always use the instruments of his office to attract quality policies and projects that will promote and protect the economy of the Igbo Nation, as well as the wellbeing of the people.


The Anambra South Senator further thanked the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness Igwe Gerald Mbamalu, for promoting peace in his domain and prayed that his reign shall be long and bring prosperity to Ndi Ojoto 


Peter Nwosu bags Rapuluchukwu Title.


In the same vein, the Chairman of the Anambra Progressives Development Union in Diaspora, Barrister Peter Nwosu who was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Rapuluchukwu, thanked the community for the honour bestowed on him.  Barrister Nwosu further assured the community that the title will serve as a great motivation for him, as he contributes his quota in promoting the wellbeing of the people and urged them to remain ambassadors of peace.


The title was conferred on Barrister Nwosu in recognition of his numerous efforts aimed at improving welfare of the people . As earlier stated, Barrister Nwosu is the Chairman of Anambra Progressives in Diaspora. The group convened by Senator Ubah has within a period of ten months, single handedly built two ultramodern medical and isolation centers, and handed them over to the managements of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka respectively.


The group is also presently championing the construction of an Industrial City and Inland Container Terminal in the Anambra State.

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
