SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH FELICITATES WITH MOST REVEREND DR. PETER OKPALEKE ON HIS INSTALLATION

Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has felicitated with Most Reverend Dr Peter Ebere Okpaleke on his installation as the first bishop of Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese.

In a statement from his official Facebook platform, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah said  "It is with gladness in my heart that I write to you today to congratulate you; Your Lordship, Most Reverend Dr. Peter Ebere Okpaleke on your installation as the pioneer Bishop of the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese."

He went on to state that "Your firm Christian belief in peace and unity amongst people for the betterment of life has endeared you to many, and has registered unprecedented success in the spiritual life of parishioners, as well as the humanitarian, educational and spiritual life of the Catholic community. In all circumstances, you have remained faithful to your calling, and have always gone beyond the call of duty for the wellbeing of the Catholic community"

Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah went on to state that "On behalf of my family and the good people of Anambra South, I wish to congratulate you on your installation today. It has been a long journey, but our loving God in his infinite mercy and grace took you by the hand and led you this far. It is my earnest prayer that the Almighty God will bless you and continually give you wisdom, divine guidance and good health to serve in his Vineyard forever."

He therefore started that he looks forward  to support the new bishop of Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese, as he intercedes for our Senatorial District; Anambra South, our dear State, Anambra and the nation at large so as to strengthen the gospel of peace, compassion and unity, he concluded.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. The police and other security agencies were said to have conducted land and aerial raids at the identical hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang at Idu-Ekpeye in Ahoada East local government area of Rivers on Saturday, February 17. According to  The Nation , the Iceland cult leader was reportedly feared dead after the operation.   Recall that in September 2023, the late DPO was ambushed and captured by the cult group led by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community, Ahoada East LGA.   2Baba and his gang then took the DPO to the forest, where they killed him and dismembered his body. The cultists then filmed him. Another source, Obi, said he saw no less than 15 vehicles and an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) during the operation.  

Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
