POLICE NAB TWO NOTORIOUS ROBBERY SUSPECTS RECOVER FIREARMS.

Anambra state police command has arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects in its renewed efforts to stamp out crime in the state.

This was made possible,following   intelligence reports gathered by police detectives attached to Ogidi Division, which led to the  arrest of one Leonard Aghano 'm' aged 27 years of Ekwulu village Umuoji at Akuzor Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

It was gathered that the suspect has been on Police wanted list in relation to cases of armed robbery and other heinous crimes in the past.  A Super Honda cub 90 motor cycle with registration number JJT312 QY robbed from one Ndubuisi lbegbu 'm' of Ire village Umuoji on 7/12/2018 and an iPhone robbed from Barr Obiora Nweze 'm' on 23/3/2019 including two matchets and a big hammer were recovered from him as exhibits.

The case is under investigation and frantic efforts is ongoing to apprehend his accomplices and bring them to Justice.

In another development, the police also arrested a robbery suspect and recovered firearms from them through Police operatives attached to Federal highway patrol along Oba road after search was conducted on the occupants, of the vehicle one Emmanuel Okonkwo 'm' aged 24years of Otoucha in Anambra State was found to be in possession of a cut to size double barrel gun  with two life ammunitions .
The suspect is assisting the Police with useful information that could help arrest his accomplices and bring them to Justice.
Consequently, during the week the Command Special Anti Cult unit (SPACS) in conjunction with operation Puff Adder carried out Raids at various locations throughout the State and arrested 69 suspected cultists in different location of the state.
