Bridgehead Election: Leaders of Thought Endorse Orizu.

As the controversy over the coming Bridgehead Market  election rages, the Leaders of Thought in the Market has endorsed the candidature of  the former Caretaker Committee chairman of the market, Chief Ikechukwu Orizu,  for the position of President-General.
In a statement after their emergency expanded meeting on the election, called on the electorates to massively support Orizu during the election tentatively fixed for May 28, 2019.

In the statement signed by Chief Festus Obodozie and Kenechukwu Ikpeazu, the chairman and the secretary respectively, they recalled Orizu's numerous achievements when he held sway as the President-general in a Caretaker capacity for about one and half years.

The Leaders of Thought said within this period Orizu embarked on the completion and beautification of the market's hall, making it one of the best secretariat in the State, said the Leaders of Thought, stopped the collection of N1,000  illegal levy from lorry drivers at the Bridgehead market by the defunct ASTA.

Orizu was also said to have deepened democracy at the market by championing the voting rights of the former leaders of the market, who were excluded from exercising their political rights cum franchise.

They said Orizu also introduced the last Friday sanitation exercise in the market, which significantly improved the sanitation condition of the market
" He embarked on aggressive decongestion of the roads in the market by setting up decongestion Unites, which paved the way for easy traffic in the market and environs.

He also created central security network that took control of the security of the market" said the Leaders of Thought.
Obodozie, said the chairman,  attracted the State Government to donate the present security vehicle to the  market, in addition to his respect for the rule of law, his encouragement of good relationship among the market Unions at the Bridgehead.

The Leaders of Thought said these and other achievements were the reasons they endorsed him to contest for the position of President-General of the market on May 28, 2019 and urged all electorates to massively vote for him
