2019 elections: PDP scores self high

The Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) says it's performance in the just concluded general elections is outstanding.
The Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu who was speaking with journalists said the performance is attributable to quality of leadership offered by Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu's led executive committee.
He pointed out that PDP was always bedeviled by factions and divisional tendencies before any major election which according to him is not so under the watch of Chief Nwobu.
The PDP image maker in Anambra State said for the first time since 1998, the party worked together under one umbrella as a family which he noted was a major factor in the impressive outing at the polls.
Nwangwu pointed out that PDP under the present dispensation was able to produce two senators and sixty percent of members of House of Representatives as well as improving the membership of PDP lawmakers in the State House of Assembly from meagre two to six.
Nwangwu said he is optimistic that PDP Anambra State will soon produce the nation's vice president.
The PDP Publicity Secretary said he is particularly impressed with the performance of his party because they did well in the face of stiff opposition from other political parties accompanied with vote buying and intimidations.
Nwangwu thanked the people of Anambra State for keeping faith with PDP noting that all the elected PDP lawmakers in the State and National Assembly will not let them down.
