CUTIX PLC, cable manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State,  on Friday held its 35th AGM at Conv-Aj Center, Nnewi, where the company elected new Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Mrs Ijeoma Oduonye, who is expected to resume duty on 1st November, 2018. Mrs Oduonye, is the immediate past Company Secretary, of  CUTIX PLC, she will replace Mr. Ifeanyi Uzodike, whose tenure as CEO will end on October 31st this year. GOVERNOR Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, Wednesday night told President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to get ready for aggressive marketing of the President and the party, declaring that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would not be a push over in the 2019 general elections. Governor Bello who stated this when President Buhari hosted a dinner for youth political appointees at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, warned the APC against complacency, saying that opposition should not be taken for granted if the APC should win the election. Former Ireland striker Andy Keogh has dismissed Usain Bolt’s ambition to be a footballer and derided his touch, saying it’s like that of a trampoline. His verdict came Friday as the coach of the Central Coast Mariners refused to say whether he believes the sprint star can make it as a footballer. Keogh, who plays for Perth Glory, said it would be a “kick in the teeth” to footballers if the eight-time Olympic champion earns a professional contract with Australia’s Mariners. The 32-year-old Jamaican, who retired from athletics last year, has been on trial with the A-League club since August but contract negotiations have stalled and he is no longer training. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, believed to be a multi-billionaire has declared a paltry yearly personal income of N20 million. The shocking revelation was contained in the credentials that Atiku filed with the the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The PDP candidate, who prides himself as a businessman and job creator said he earned only N60.2 million in three years and paid a paltry N10.8 million tax between 2015 and 2017. Some reports have estimated Atiku’s wealth at about $1.4 billion. In 2014, Atiku boasted that he was the greatest employer of labour in Nigeria, with about 50,000 Nigerians on his payroll. “As an individual, I believe my record in employing young Nigerians is unrivalled by any single private investor in Nigeria,” the former vice president said.
