Helping Hands International Concept Ltd Holds empowerment based membership program, doles out 3 Brand New SUVs.
The foundation was set up as a way of expressing gratitude to God through devoted service to humanity, and turning fears of sorrow to tears of joy.
In her keynote address, the state coordinator of Helping hands international, Lady Joy Amaka Ogbuawa, said the foundation was set up for human capacity building, enshrined in the philosophy that nothing is greater than humanitarian service which, if properly applied will promote peaceful and harmonious human co-existence.She further stated that
"not only do we empower your life, we work with you and through you to help and empower others" Our contributions, no matter how small might be what the next door neighbor needs to move to the next level. No matter how poor you think you are, you are rich enough to give a helping hand, for help is not all about money, she said.
She however stated that helping hands international is categorized into
Economic empowerment, which
strives to promote the economic empowerment of the less privileged through the provision of social welfare packages for the vulnerable and oppressed in the society. It also encourages and promotes creativity, innovativeness hard work and entrepreneurship among young people to women through skill acquisition programmes.
On health care -& education, she stressed that
the foundation was established to provide quality subsidized health care facilities, life essential and basic social amenities to remote dwellers.
Continuing, she stressed that the foundation was also established to assist gifted but indigent pupils & students in their academic pursuits.
through the intervention of the affluent in society.
She was of the view that the foundation uses different arms of mass media to sensitize the affluent people in the society on the need to help the less privileged and the needy generally. It mobilizes and accesses varied support from the public and affluent to the needy, thereby bridging the gap between the rich prospective benefactors and the needy who are the beneficiaries.
Helping hands international was established to provide a platform whereby the needy share their problems and set on-the-spot links to voluntary benefactors.
With the media also, the foundation solicits help from donor, agencies, finance partners, philanthropists, humanitarian organizations, affluent and public spirited people, to bring succor to the traumatized, the hopeless, the voiceless, the impoverished and downtrodden in the society
She stated that their claims are verifiable, as they
usually verify calls for interventions through unscheduled & surprised visitations to those soliciting for help at their homes, hospitals, offices & various scenes, bring feedback and 1st hand information based on practical eye witness accounts.
She maintained that
a lot of people have been subjected to various degrees of hardships as a result of challenges and problems of life. These people need our love and care as such, we need to rally round and assist them as much as we can, for the sake of God and humanity. Through the intervention of the foundation, partnerships and synergy had been established with the management of some government and private hospitals. These health institutions sometimes grant waivers to bills being settled by the foundation for patients who could not offset their medical bills.
She therefore appreciated donors
who have partnered with the foundation so far for their efforts and we urge them not to relent in the same service of God and humanity, she concluded.
