Awka-Etiti Community elects new PG

Awka- Etiti Community on the 25th of November 2017 made history by conducting a peaceful election, which saw to the emergence of a newly elected executive which will run the affairs of the town union for another tenure of 3 years.
The election which was keenly contested, with the use of option A4 saw the emergence of Chief Joachin Okeke, as the newly elected President General of Awka-Etiti Community.
In his interaction with newsmen, the newly elected President General, Chief Joachin Okeke thanked the people of Awka Etiti for finding him worthy to be elected as their  new President General.
He called on those that vied for the position with him to close ranks to work for the overall benefit and development of Awkaetiti community.
He said that his election as the President General will be a new dawn in the annals of the history of Awkaetiti.
In his valedictory speech, the out going President General, Mr. John Unachukwu, thanked the people of Awkaetiti, for the assistance they gave him throughout his tenure in office.
He enumerated, some of the achievements of his regime to include, payment arrears of salary owed workers, reparing of their grounded vehicles, renovation of our abattoir, evacuation of refuse, cerebration of their late Igwe last ofala, ensuring that electricity is restored, better security in the community, and coronation of a new Igwe.
Continuing, he said that his regime also saw to the mass return and ito ogbo, honoring of the heroes of Awkaetiti, and the building of an ultra modern market in Awkaetiti, setting up of a website and the organization of football competition in Awkaetiti, among others.

BREAKING: 2Baba Shot Dead In Rivers State

A notorious cult leader and the prime suspect in the brutal murder of the late Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbashim, in the state, Gift Okpara, popularly referred to as 2Baba, has been reportedly killed in a police-led major security raid. Prominent Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, at Anambra Community Candlelight Procession in Awka
